Day 1: Marrakech – Agdz
Depart Marrakech in the morning and cross the High Atlas Mountains, stopping along the way for scenic viewpoints and photo breaks. As landscapes change from mountains to desert plains, you’ll begin capturing Morocco’s dramatic contrasts. Continue toward Agdz, gateway to the Draa Valley, where palm groves, adobe villages, and riverbeds offer beautiful compositions at sunset. Overnight in Agdz.
Day 2: Agdz – Erg Chigaga (Desert Arrival)
After breakfast, travel deeper into southern Morocco, passing remote villages and vast open landscapes perfect for travel photography. By afternoon, arrive at the dunes of Erg Chigaga — one of Morocco’s most wild and untouched desert regions. Enjoy your first golden-hour shoot among towering sand dunes before settling into your desert camp. As night falls, photograph star-filled skies and silhouettes of camels against the horizon. Overnight in the desert.
Day 3: Erg Chigaga (Full Day Desert Photography)
Today is dedicated entirely to desert photography. Capture sunrise over the dunes, explore different dune formations, and walk through quiet Saharan landscapes with your guide. You’ll have time to photograph nomad life, textures of sand, shadows, and wide desert panoramas. The relaxed pace allows you to follow the light throughout the day. In the evening, enjoy another magical sunset session followed by dinner around the campfire. Second night in Erg Chigaga.
Day 4: Erg Chigaga – Taznakht – Ouarzazate
Leave the desert after sunrise and travel toward Taznakht, famous for its traditional Berber carpets and colorful local scenes — a great stop for cultural photography. Continue to Ouarzazate, often called the gateway to the Sahara, where kasbah architecture and desert light create striking visuals. Enjoy sunset photography around town before overnight in Ouarzazate.
Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Begin the day with a visit to Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed ksar and one of Morocco’s most photogenic sites. Capture its ancient walls, narrow alleys, and panoramic views from above. After your photo session, cross the High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech, with scenic stops along the way. Arrival in Marrakech by late afternoon — end of your 5-day Morocco photography adventure.
